  • NCPS

Rupert has over 20 years of experience in the therapy world. He originally qualified in Remedial Massage and Craniosacral therapy, then went on to study and now specialises in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) and is currently enjoying working and continually developing his private practice.

“Learning many different styles and approaches to working with the body and mind from different teachers has been an exciting and a rewarding journey.”

He has previously worked in exclusive hotels, and now currently runs a busy private practice in the UK in Wiltshire and online.

In the last twenty years, he has been involved in continuous self development, and enjoys further study. Rupert enjoys spending time outdoors and maintains a daily meditation practice. During his training to be a EMDR and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Rupert has been able to integrate all that he has learnt and with time and practice, has enabled him to learn much more about himself than he could ever imagine. Rupert is now able to pass on this knowledge so that other people can also benefit from these transformational approaches.

“ Witnessing the transformational change in clients when they move from being stuck to experiencing clarity and new direction in their life is just so amazing to see and experience .”

Rupert’s passion has always been to support people to grow and overcome obstacles that life brings . His approach is to empower the individual to be more connected with themselves, whether that is on a physical level or getting more clarity and a less burdened mind. Rupert is passionate that everyone has the potential to connect once again with their values bringing meaning back into their lives.

“I sincerely believe we all have this potential to gain a deeper connection within ourselves, to change what can be changed, and to learn to accept what we can't. Spending time together will allow you to experience this for yourself.”

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I have had several episodes of counselling over the years, and i would have no hesitation in recommending Rupert as a therapist to my friends or family. He is a very calming person. We have only started a short while ago, but there is a reassuring confidence there, and he really knows his stuff. I look forward to continuing the work over the next few months.

Reviewed July 2023

I thought I had a video gaming addiction, but it was only a coping mechanism for me to not to face the issues in my life. I was carrying so much anger and family burden and guilt over the years and never found a good way to deal with them, probably I didn't really want to deal with them, to be honest. The past few weeks of therapy were quite challenging emotionally. Being more aware of yourself and your thoughts can be exhausting, but we have untangled so many issues from the past and present that helped me to find peace instead of being in a state of anger or guilt or complete denial. Being in a state of peace feels good. Thanks
