I decided to access therapy after receiving life-changing news regarding my health. I felt completely stuck and out of control with zero purpose in life. After our first session, Pooja had successfully managed to extrapolate the true issue I was experiencing and that was acceptance. Acceptance of both myself and my medical condition. The fact I couldn't accept who I was was preventing me from moving forward and keeping me stuck. I was also struggling with self-esteem and confidence, which now makes complete sense given I lost who I was as I hadn't accepted myself. Starting therapy was not easy for me nor was it without anxiety but Pooja was amazing and managed to make me feel safe and secure, giving me the space I needed to talk and explore what was going on. She listened and asked the right questions and yes, challenged me too! I went to therapy and fully engaged with the process and knew that there wasn't a therapist on this planet that could either do the work for me or wave a magic wand. I did the exercises she sent me, read the articles she shared and made many changes to my life. In just five sessions I felt transformed and was taking action that I had previously been blocking and refusing to do. My mindset and confidence are growing daily and although I have done the work myself and accept this, I wouldn't be here without Pooja. Thank you so so much for all your support. Pooja is a wonderful therapist she has so much compassion and understanding for her clients. It has been an amazing journey we have been on together for the past 6 months. This was the first time I have resonated with a therapist I have tried many times before but it never felt quite right. When I first signed up for better help I was in a very dark place with depression and felt suicidal daily. Pooja helped me to challenge my negative thoughts and feelings each week, she listened and made me feel heard and gave me an insight into my own thought process. One of the best experiences of my life! This was my first time attending therapy and I was so grateful I had Pooja as my therapist on this new journey I embarked. I felt so lost, emotional, not confident, and had loads to talk about my childhood experiences. Things I struggled with on day to day … that be the way I feel, my thought process and how my childhood traumas had resonated in my adult life. When I first started therapy, I was hesitant. My headspace felt like a thread full of knots. I had 5 months of therapy with Pooja and the difference I see in my self from when I started to now has been such a massive positive difference. I worked with Pooja for around two months around building self confidence, managing stress, and being kinder to myself.
