Perhaps you're feeling anxious, stressed - or just a bit out of sorts? Perhaps you're always thinking of others before yourself and you've suddenly realised that you're important too? Maybe changes are afoot and you want someone to help you navigate them. Often we talk to family and friends and get lots of advice which just confuses us: we want to yell 'why won't you just listen?' I can provide that safe listening space where you can explore your feelings without judgment. A place where you can feel supported to work through issues or traumas which maybe you've been aware of for a long time, but which you haven't wanted to address.

I work with people who have many and varied issues which they would like to explore. I have a particular interest in bereavement, having trained with Cruse Bereavement Support, and also in suicide-ideation, through many years of working with- and training Listening Volunteers for the Samaritans - I am a director of Cambridge Samaritans. I have also worked in a hospice environment with patients and relatives.

Therapy should be as unique as you are - that's why I tailor my approach to fit with who you are and what you are looking for. Some people want to be listened to properly and held in that space while they come to terms with what is going on. Others are looking for someone to challenge them and to explore what has made them who they are: I can work with you in whichever way you feel most comfortable.

I have a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling and am about to receive my Level 5 Diploma in Relationship Counselling through Relate. I am also qualified in Clinical Hypnosis.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
