It can be really tough to actually talk about what is going on for you. Sometimes we feel shame or fear at the prospect of sharing these feelings. Sometimes there just aren't words for those feelings. I offer a space in which whatever you wish to talk about is fine. I am not easily shocked!

Our time spent together will involve creating a safe space in which you can explore whatever it is that you want or need. I like to hold a space where I embrace that everybody is unique and that nobody is "perfect." I also understand the drive to achieve that perfection and how difficult it can be balancing the two.

I offer both short and long term counselling and psychotherapy to support you in whichever way you need. I'm open to exploring with you the ways in which we can work together.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Richard is very kind and compassionate. It's nice to speak with someone that can relate and explain what's going on in my head. Not too mention being able to keep up with all the branches that come with that. I look forward to continuing counselling with him

After only having a few sessions with Richard I can say with complete confidence, I would highly recommend him as a therapist. He has a way of making therapy feel like something to look forward to. I have definitely stepped out of my shell a bit more since seeing Richard. His professional manner, incredible advise and guidance is something that stood out since the beginning. Lastly of course the best listener I have ever come across.

Richard has entirely flipped my rather negative predisposed opinions on therapy. He is fiercely intelligent, extremely perceptive and has quite honestly changed my life through our conversations. I very much look forward to chatting to him each week!

Richard is a fantastic and down-to-earth individual with a sharp mind - as someone who had long questioned the value of therapy in any shape or form I stand momentously corrected. I feel as though I am unlocking more understanding and potential for my future path with every session that passes. Thank you Richard.

Richard is thoughtful. He allows me to take my own time. He shares and empathises when he recognises I need a break from the 'moment'. He is quick to pick up on issues. Always check in.

I would like to be selfish and not share my thoughts about Richard, but I have to. He is an amazing therapist, a genuine person, someone who truly listens, cares, and makes sure every minute with you is well spent. After every call, I feel recharged and refreshed. Couldn't ask for more because there is no more than this. If you choose him or he ends up to be your therapist, consider yourself lucky.

He respects me and always has good advice for me, no matter what i am going throug. As well as he has helped me unraveland understand my past, he supports me in building a sustainable and worth-living-for future. I am so thankful to have him as my therapist and i think you will get along with him very well too.

Richard has been precisely the kind of person I needed to speak to. He gave me the space, patience, respect and insight I needed to get through the most challenging time I've experienced in my life so far. He is knowledgeable, friendly and very professional, leaving me after only 4 months with clear positive coping mechanisms, new personal awareness and a heightened level of self-esteem and a deeper personal understanding to face these issues. His approach has allowed me to do the self improvement I couldn't fathom alone, stopping me using the important people in my life as crutches, as well as other easy fixes, and allowing me to verbalise the mental confusion I'd carried for so long. Do not hesitate to talk with Richard, one of the best things I've ever done.

My therapy sessions with Richard has been a very comfortable, welcoming and a safe place for me to talk about my issues. Richard is a good listener, patient, kind and understanding. I like his therapy style and it feels like I'm talking to a friend than a therapist.

Reviewed November 2022

Talking to Richard has been really helpful to me. His kind, approachable manner makes it really easy to open up to him, and I never feared being judged. I found his insights really helpful, and I was impressed by how he really focused on what is important to the individual rather than making assumptions.

Reviewed November 2022

My sessions have been welcoming, comfortable and easy. I was nervous for my first session but the dynamic made me feel at ease quickly. It is my impression that even the little notes I jot down throughout the week of 'things to talk about' are reflected upon. Our discussions are taken on board and I feel the things I find important to me are recognised and valued. I am enjoying my journey thus far which is not what I expected. I am confident Richard's therapy style and the session options have allowed for this.

Reviewed September 2022

Talking to Richard has been easy from the get-go. He's personable & calming, and I'm really enjoying his style of therapy; even if the topics are heavy, I feel reassured and supported.

Reviewed June 2022

I’ve not had him very long but I’m already very comfortable and I feel like he is a great fit and will help me tremendously!

Reviewed May 2022

Richard's an excellent listener and he really makes time for the client. He really gets to what the client wants to get to and isn't afraid to make the most of the session and really give the gift of his time. It feels more like talking to a very wise friend than a "therapist" per se, which I suppose in a way is probably what very good therapy is supposed to feel like!
