I am an eclectic Counsellor working with clients in the most appropriate way.

My training since 1990 has been in Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Cognitive therapy. I became

a Counsellor because I believe that people can help themselves with most problems by learning

to discover why they are like they are and seeking change. We are all like we are because of a reason.

The answers are within all of us, and as a Counsellor I use my skills to help you discover those answers.

I have trained with Gloucestershire Counselling Service, Bristol University, Gloscat and the Royal forest of Dean College.

Besides many other qualifications I hold a Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling, an Advanced Certificate in Therapeutic

Counselling and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am an experienced Counsellor working with a wide cross section of

society. To enable me to give my clients the best service possible and to work within the BACP requirements I have regular

Supervision and personal counselling.

I have counselled for the Gloucestershire Association for Mental Health. The Terrence Higgins Trust, Gloucestershire

County Council, many private companies as well as individual clients.

Confidentiality is one of my main concern in the service that I offer you.

You may reveal sensitive or painful matters about yourself or others and I appreciate how important it

is to know how safe these disclosures are. My aim as a Counsellor is to work in your best

interest in ways which help you take more control over your life which respects your ability to make

your own decisions.

I am not here to advice or suggest or act on your behalf.

My aim is to support you the client.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Gail has been a great support and is helping me to work though several things that were making me feel lost and disconnected with myself and those around me. Gail is clearly very knowledgeable, and prompts the discussion with questions and has shared worksheets that I have been able to complete in my own time, which have been great in encouraging self reflection and are helping me to connect with myself again. I was nervous about starting therapy, and I would recommend Gail and Better help to anyone who needs support.
