About me

I am a humanistic integrative therapist, as well as a trainee CBT therapist, specializing in helping adults and adolescents to cope with stressors; getting unstuck as they work through difficult moments and challenges in their lives. When life gets tough, it’s easy to focus on the problems that are happening or the “weaknesses” we see in ourselves.

I am qualified with a Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and psychotherapy (MBACP). I adhere to their strict confidentiality code and ethical framework and incorporate aspects of different modalities to suit your needs.

Areas that I work with (but are not limited to):

Anxiety

Depression

Family issues

Trauma

Low self-esteem

Work-related stress

Emotional instability

Anger

Pregnancy issues

What to expect from me?

I believe that you are the expert of your life so I see myself as a facilitator of your therapeutic journey and someone eager to explore with you, your internal/external world. I will give you my respectful and undivided attention. I will create an atmosphere where you will feel psychological comfort, support, and emotional security in which you can remain yourself when communicating with me. The therapeutic journey offers us inner peace in that exploring and processing our emotions can help us reach a place of self-acceptance, growth, and self-development. We can explore how you relate to yourself, others, and the world in your social and cultural context since this may be significant to the therapeutic work.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
