Jessica has been brilliant. She has been a listening ear and helped me make sense of my thoughts and where and why I'm thinking them. She's helped me overcome many difficult situations and find my own strategies that work for me. She's always been on time and has been very flexible to allow for times that work with my schedule. I've honestly appreciated every session and thank her sincerely.

  • BACP

I am a qualified therapist and am registered with the BACP, having completed a BACP accredited Diploma of Higher Education and furthering this with an extra year of study to gain a BA (Hons) degree in Person-Centred Counselling.

I have been working with clients for over 4 years and enjoy working with people from all walks of life on whatever issues are important to them.

Coming to this profession as a mature student I hold a wealth of life experience as well as having worked with a number of different issues including , but not limited to sexuality, consensual non-monogamy, personality disorders and anxiety and depression. I see myself as open-minded and liberal when it comes to the human experience therefore whatever you bring to the session, we can explore this safely with no judgement.

My style of counselling is friendly, inquisitive and caring. I work hard to promote an environment which is conducive to you being able to share whatever it may be that has encouraged you to seek counselling. I will not give you solutions to your problems because I feel that you are the expert on your experience. I will be with you as you explore this experience, offering empathy and affirming your story so that you are able to find a way forward that works for you.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Great therapist. A very understanding person, great at listening and giving advice. Very helpful when trying to understand issues that I can’t figure out by myself. All you could want in a therapist!

Reviewed July 2022

Honestly, what can I say that does Jessica justice. She's been transformative in the few months that I have been seeing her. Every session is a space where I feel completely comfortable to share my thoughts of feelings, and her gentle prodding into the subjects I bring to therapy really do help to shine light on some of the feelings I'm encountering. She remembers things from lessons that I struggle to remember which really helps when trying to join the dots on certain moments. I still feel like I'm in the early days of my therapy, and still finding my feet so to speak when it comes to dealing with some of my issues, but I can say I'm super glad BetterHelp linked me with Jessica and I'm looking forward to carrying on my therapy journey with her.
