Jane is ready to listen and ask questins when needed, but does not distract my story for clarification in the middle of telling. She's pointed out a few connection relating to my current problem from my past stories that i hadn't even realized. She's a good listener and so far i feel a good connection with her.

More about Jane

I have been working in Mental Health care as a counsellor since 1995. I have worked as a counsellor in Schools, Further education and Universities, Private practice, the Voluntary sector, and Employee Assistance programmes. The presenting issues which clients have brought to my counselling practice during my career has been extensive. I have supported clients in both short term counselling and long term therapy. People seek counselling or psychotherapy for a wide range of reasons, and these are frequently linked with feelings and experiences which they are finding difficult to understand and manage. I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor with over 26 years of experience. I offer counselling/psychotherapy for clients when it may feel hard to find the a way forward on their own. I am committed to providing a safe, confidential, empathic, and non-judgmental setting and context for our work together, where you can begin to change barriers that may be standing in your way. My aim is to provide a space where you begin to understand yourself and your experiences, and to find ways of feeling able to resolve your personal difficulties and achieve a sense of positivity and hope in respect of the difficulties you have, or are currently experiencing .

I believe that by creating a safe and private space for counselling, where the therapeutic relationship, and subsequent trust which develops, is a key factor in clients being able to achieve a positive outcome. I have a non-judgemental and anti-discriminatory approach to life and this is central to how I work as a counsellor..

Choosing the right counsellor to provide support is not always easy. By taking time to read this information may provide you with information and reassurances which will help you make a decision on the best choice for you, In all cases giving careful attention to both the medium of counselling being offered and the qualifications and experience of your chosen counsellor is an important factor in this process.

As a senior BACP accredited counsellor my practice is grounded within the BACP Ethical Framework. I also work as a supervisor and trainer online.I frequently provide consultancy services to services who are piloting an e-counselling service for their clients. There are different mediums available for you to choose fromif you decide to seek my counselling support, and you choose which would feel more comfortable for you. At the present time I am offering online counselling via Instant messenging, webcam or voice (telephone).

As a Senior BACP accredited Therapist I have provided face to face and online counselling to clients, counsellors, orgnisations, and students, since 1995. I was an executive member of ACTO for the full term of 7 years (2008-2015) and was also director/organising member of the annual OCTIA conferences (Online Counselling and Training in Action), from 2012-2019.

I have recently been awarded the title of Honorary Member of ACTO, in relation to my contributions of developing Computer Mediated Counselling and Supervision, and associated training within the UK since 2006.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

jane is an excellent therapist, there are a lot of cultural differences between us but even with that she tries to understand my situation and experiences and the things that i struggle with, she’s supportive and nonjudgmental which is something i can greatly appreciate especially in a therapist, i’d definitely recommend her and i’m looking forward to doing more sessions with her

I felt immediately at ease with Jane, her presence is soft and securing. She has a quick mind, helps you think through complex problems while being very attentive to how you are feeling at each step, and she's very careful that you never fall into overwhelm during her sessions. I left every session with her feeling inspired and with a renewed clarity on events, past or present.

I really enjoy working with Jane. She gives me exactly what I didn't realise I needed when I started on my therapy journey: she listens, she guides, she soothes and encourages me to reach points of self-discovery in a non-push way. I thoroughly benefit from my sessions and feel like I am getting stronger as a person.

I came to Jane under a lot of distress when my relationship was coming to an end, and she was amazing at helping me navigate turbulent times. Jane is caring and instils trust from the very first session, she listens when she needs to, and speaks when she has something of value to add. It’s clear to see how much experience Jane has and I couldn’t have chosen a better therapist to help me over the duration of our sessions. Jane is worth every penny and I’ll always revisit her for sessions should I need to in the future. If you’re lucky enough to have Jane suggested to you as a therapist by Better Help, you should lunge at the opportunity to have someone as non-judgmental and caring as she is lend an ear to your woes. Thank you, Jane.
