You may be someone who thinks deeply about yourself and still feels stuck. Perhaps you can describe the pattern, yet keep finding yourself back in it, overthinking, shutting down, people-pleasing, drifting, repeating the same relationship dynamics, or leaning on habits that help in the moment but cost later.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and harder on themselves than they let on. From the outside things may look manageable, but internally something can feel conflicted, tense, or quietly out of place. Therapy gives us a space to slow things down, understand what is driving the pattern, and begin building something steadier.

I am a UK-based integrative therapist and registered member of the BACP. My approach is person-centred and informed by Jungian psychology, Internal Family Systems, and psychodynamic thinking. In practice, that means I try to understand you in context rather than forcing you into a formula. We may look at long-standing beliefs, recurring emotional patterns, different parts of you, shame, identity, relationships, or the gap between what you know and what you can actually live.

I also work well with people who want to speak honestly about areas that can feel awkward, easy to minimise, or hard to explain to others, including gaming, technology use, relationships, online identity, motivation, weed or other coping habits, and the strange ways modern life can pull us away from ourselves. You do not need to tidy yourself up before bringing it here.

My style is collaborative, grounded, and thoughtful. I will not try to tell you who you are, and I will not rush you into change for the sake of feeling productive. At the same time, I do not believe insight alone is enough. If you are looking for therapy that goes beneath the surface while staying human and practical, we may work well together.

I am not the best fit for someone seeking a manualised, quick'fix', instructional approach or a diagnosis. I work best with people who are able to reflect, sit with complexity, and look beneath the surface. If that sounds like you, I would welcome the chance to work together and help you understand how to make better choices for yourself.

Clients mention: Great Helped Understanding Insightful Helpful Professional Understand Amazing Comfortable Excellent

Zak is an excellent therapist. Very understanding very patient and interactive in just the right way.

He has been very helpful especially in the last number of weeks. He has kept in touch and given me good advice. He has let me go at my pace doesn't push me.

It has been around 6 months that I have been doing therapy with Issaka Zango and I have seen very important and concrete improvements in my life, my relationship with my partner, and my professional relationships. He is an empathtic therapist that listens carefully and understands me. He is also a very insightful therapist that has opened up new perspectives in me through his observations and interpretations. He is both knowledgable and highly motivated/invested in his job. I would definitely recommend him as a therapist.

What can I say about Issaka that will do him justice? He is excellent - cordial, approachable, understanding and insightful. While I think we have a way to go, he has helped me a great deal.

Reviewed January 2025

Amazing experience, he really helped me through an incredibly dark period of my life. He didn't give me answers, but that's not what I needed, I needed someone to listen to me when nobody else would.

He has a very keen understanding of how human emotions work and has been a great help with coping with many aspects of relationship management.

I have really benefited from having Issaka as my therapist as his approach compliments my needs. I always feel heard with him and he did a great job of ensuring our sessions were a safe space to explore my thoughts and feelings early on so now having worked with him for a while I am extremely comfortable to discuss whatever comes up for me and I’m grateful that his structure allows me to do that really organically. He is very respectful and considerate which is another reason why I think working with him has helped me so much.

Issaka is a good listener, he immediately start thinking in your way and guide you by your own words to solution. And that is making you understand and start to think about how you can help your self outside the one on one session. Strongly suggest to choose him.

Issaka Zango is an amazing therapist and more than I could have asked for. He isn't only very skilled with the therapeutic methods (which I am familiar with because of my own professional back round) but he is very connecting in a humane and compassionate way as well. I experienced other therapists before but felt never that well cared for like he does.

I was hesitant to try online therapy but I'm immensely content that I did. My therapist Issaka Zango was helpful in assisting me to carve a way forward from a very low point in my life to seeing new possibilities. For the past 3 months, with his guidance, I have been taking tangible steps to work on myself. He is attentive, insightful, and compassionate. I felt listened to, understood, and supported. The progress made in our sessions has had a great impact on my mental health. I'm looking forward to continuing my journey of getting better, one week at a time.

Issaka has been really helpful over the time I have spoken with him. I feel over the time we’ve spoken that I’m closer to getting to a place I’d be happy with. There is a great combination of self coaching where we discuss certain topics throughout the last week as well as looking at long term issues I’ve experienced too. I fully appreciate how they help me ‘self coach’ being able to help myself in particular moments. I feel I can fully trust Issaka and I feel comfortable talking about things I haven’t shared with anyone else and id fully recommend to someone who is seeking help

I have very much enjoyed working with Issaka! I have made tremendous progress during our sessions and he has helped me greatly in understanding my thoughts and behavior patterns. He is very knowledgeable about psychology and mental health. He is very understanding and compassionate, and is able to empathize with the client.

Issaka is a wonderful man who helped me reach a lot in my life. He leads the sessions in such an intelligent and delicate way. Issaka gave me probably the best way of therapy to get out of my Trauma and other difficulties. Highly recommended.

I have been working with Zak for over four months now. The sessions have been very insightful in helping me uncover my negative thought patterns and their potential sources. Zak is a great listener, is empathetic, and picks up on all the details. He then links between things you have said throughout your sessions which helps you see the bigger picture. You can tell that he tailors the sessions to you and your needs. When I began therapy I thought there was no way out at all. However, slowly and surely I got to a much better place now, especially with his help and support.

Reviewed September 2022

The best therapist I'd had so far. He helped me understand and askt eh right questions about my situation.

Reviewed September 2022

Issaka listens without interrupting and manages to pick out things that may seem to me, just in the flow of talking/conversation, but they may have a significant impact or be a continuous theme in the way I think. It’s been interesting to hear and see someone picking out things in just a few sessions. But that can be different per person. Some people may be more reserved or scared, where as I talk a lot and go on tangents. He always manages to to pick something from 10 minutes ago that’s relevant to the entire piece of dialogue. Seems interested aswell, I can imagine it would be hard to hide any disinterest or a dislike for someone, as therapists must come across similar things in a wide variety of people, which would point to certain personality types. Issaka also answers the few messages I leave in the session chat, with very full answers. This will take up his time, and I appreciate the response. That in itself made me look forward to therapy rather than resist it
