Lesley has been great and really helped me during a time of need. It’s my first time in therapy and Lesley has very kind and gently guiding me through it. Her insights have been help and I’ve enjoyed the process.

I wasn't sure what to expect from therapy but my sessions have been invaluable. My therapist made me feel completely at ease discussing anything that was on my mind, and being able to let my guard down and express difficult emotions was a huge relief. We got to the bottom of damaging thought patterns and worked through tools to deal with them, which I feel confident using on my own now. Her patience, understanding and guidance have enabled me to make what I am confident will be lasting positive changes. I would definitely recommend her and I am very glad to know she is there if I need any future help. Thank you!

More about Lesley

  • 4 years' experience

  • BACP

I am based in the East Midlands in the UK. Although I trained in the Person-Centred (sometimes called Rogerian) Modality, I draw on my additional training in the Humanistic modalities in my work. For example, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or Rational Behavioural Therapy, to best suit the client’s needs and preferences.

My experience is varied having worked with loss and grief, cancer sufferers and their carers and the LGBTQ+ community. Most recently I have been working in Solution Focussed Brief Therapy, supporting clients with life stage changes, life events and work related issues.

Presently, I am working part-time in an educational environment with young adults on a range of issues including trauma, self-esteem and self-harm.

I believe in a holistic approach, with the client taking the lead.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Lesley has been nothing short of incredible. She is kind, caring and I feel I’ve really developed a strong relationship with her. It feels sad the journey together has come to an end but I feel I’ve learned and gained a lot of knowledge and coping tips. I recommend Lesley to everyone going through grief.
