I am a Counsellor Psychotherapist offering an integrative person-centred approach to therapy. I have been a counsellor for over 3 years, working with the NHS, Lancashire Women, schools and colleges across the county. I came to be a counsellor later in life after a successful career in account management, for some time I had yearned for a career that would help people, this brought me to counselling and psychotherapy. I gained my Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy in the summer of 2018. Since then, I have had the privilege to work with various clients young and old who have all brought their own uniqueness to our sessions.

Embracing people for who they are, without judgment, is a quality that all counsellors must uphold, I have experience in working with clients of a variety of ages, backgrounds and ethnicities, as well as a broad range of difficulties.

Throughout our lives, we are faced with challenges, suffer from traumas, bereavements and much more leading to depression and various anxiety symptoms.

As the saying goes a problem shared is a problem halved. Working with a counsellor enables you to look at your issues in a supportive and non-judgemental environment. I support and enable my clients to see the full picture of what is happening in their lives.

No matter how big or small your problem may feel counselling can enable you to look at yourself and your life and support you unconditionally in finding the right path for you. Sometimes you need to speak to someone who isn't a friend or family member, someone you can offload to without feeling you are burdening them.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)and I work in accordance with their Ethical Framework.

My focus is to always be warm, genuine and welcoming.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

She really listens, and comes with brilliant wise and thought-through advice and wisdom.

I have worked with Deb for almost one year now and what a time that has been. From day one Deb has provided so much empathy, understanding, validation and has really helped me come out the other side much stronger than I was when I started. Deb has a natural ability to make you feel at ease, without any judgement. She creates a safe place where you always feel welcomed. She has taught me a great amount and continues to be a big part of my healing journey . For that I will be forever grateful.

Reviewed July 2022

I'm very grateful to Debbie, her support has really helped me move forward on some life long sticking points. I found Debbie very warm, generous, down to earth, and felt comfortable from the beginning. My concern was my ability to articulate my feelings and I'm considering that I may have adhd. Debbie always made me feel dignified and respected even when I felt stuck and helped to keep the conversation flowing. I found her to be a great listener with really useful feedback that seemed to get to the heart of an issue. I found the whole process very safe and appreciated Debbie's kindness and patience. Thanks a lot!

Debbie is kind, approachable and understanding. Debbie delivers exactly what therapy is suppost to be. In all occupations there are people that are good at what they do and those that are not so good at what they do, I have gone through many different therapists over the years, so it becomes easy to spot the good ones from the bad and I can honestly say Debbie is definately one of the good ones and breath of fresh air too! Debbie creates a safe and non judgemental environment, she is very knowledgable, attentive, insightful and supportive. If your on the fence about trying therapy, give Debbie a try, you will not regret it.
