Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

A session with Paul is like a warm hug. He's my second therapist in BetterHelp, and I couldn't be more grateful to have found him!! He's incredibly patient, he makes you feel safe, he's incredibly professional yet so incredibly human at the same time. He's so so kind, yet he will guide you to walk out of your comfort zone, hand in hand. It's a rare combination of amazing qualities that have shown me not only how precious therapy could be, and how much I needed it, but also how much I would love to continue working with him towards a better brighter future ◡̈. I completely recommend him!

Paul Laskowski is an EXCELLENT therapist. It took me a couple of tries before finding Paul but I knew he would be my therapist from day 1. Paul helped me get through a very difficult time in my life and I will always be thankful for that. He checks up on me days after our sessions to see how I’m going and he always answers my messages on time. He sends me worksheets which I find very useful and he introduced me into journaling, which changed my life. He always remembers everything I share with him in sessions. It’s incredible. I feel hopeful for the future now! Thank you Paul! You’re the best :)

I have just done my final session, for now! I needed this therapy more than I realised and Paul was the best therapist suited to me. Honestly I'm so thankful he's been my therapist through this journey. And I say final session for now because I'm not closing the door on therapy, I just used it as a tool I very much needed at the time. I put the work in every day since I started, and Paul helped me see I am more than capable of getting to where I am now, he showed me that journalling is an amazing tool, and it really is! Journalling helped so so much, after being reluctant to try it, once I started I haven't stopped. It's my daily conversation with myself to see how im doing. Paul is really good at giving tasksheets related to what you need, and again at first I was slightly reluctant but the more I opened up to myself the more I took the tasksheets on as a tool to help myself and I have benefited so much. Paul is professional, on time, messages regularly and sends any information he thinks would be beneficial, he listens and keeps up with your journey, remembering everything that happens from session 1 to however many! He knows how to help you help yourself. This whole experience has made me present with myself, and accept and care for the person I was when I began therapy. I honestly can't thank and recommend Paul enough but I know he'd say you've done the work you've helped yourself, he's amazing, thank you Paul you're a wonderful person and you really really helped me understand what was happening, I appreciate every single session and emotions you helped me bring out that I didn't need to bottle up.

Reviewed February 2023

I feel like Paul is a really good fit. I think we'll really get to the bottom of everything. He's very respectful. He makes sure I feel the emotion so I don't repress it again. And I feel he really made me look inside myself for the answers.

Reviewed January 2023

Paul has been amazing. He is caring and helpful in facilitating you in a gentle way to discover and use the tools that you need to become a better you. Thank you for helping me to rediscover who I am and to move forward in that.

I am only 3 weeks into my therapy, but I have honestly noticed some massive changes in myself. They're only little things but they are massive to me, and I can feel my self confidence growing. I am so proud of myself for taking this step and it has been so worth it already, so I am looking forward to growing even more. Paul has been so so helpful, caring, he really listens, and I can't thank him enough!

Paul is kind and engaged, and helps me understand my feelings far more than I expected.

Reviewed November 2022

Paul has been a huge help to me in the sessions we have done together. He very quickly made me feel at ease and offers a calm and patient ear. I have appreciated his guidance in working through problems and his ability to guide me in my understanding and thinking about issues. This is key as the dynamic is very much one where I am reaching the destination, Paul just has a skill in helping to get there. I can tell Paul really has passion for his work and cares about his clients. He always remembers what we previously talked about and will link back previous topics when relevant. Ultimately, Paul gave me a safe space to bring whatever I wanted to session, instead of following a set path. I cannot recommend him more!

Reviewed September 2022

Paul is knowledgeable, a brilliant listener and highly professional while being a really warm and pleasant person. He has really helped me in a short time with, again, great listening and guiding me to set my own goals and giving non-judgemental feedback. He is very responsive to my communications between appointments and shares his thoughts in writing as well as other tools that are really practical and well-selected for me. I feel really lucky to have found Paul as a counsellor and feel very hopeful in a way that I did not feel before beginning to speak with him.

Reviewed September 2022

I was so worried going into therapy (for abuse and trauma related) as I didn’t know what to expect, especially having trouble opening up to new people, but Paul has such a gentle friendly aura about him that brings you at ease straight away. I was surprised at how comfortable I felt opening up to him in my first session and I actually look forward to every video session with him. He is very responsive and checks up on me in between my sessions via messages and will send me worksheets to work through that have been extremely helpful. I would recommend him to anyone looking for someone to listen and genuinely willing to help you go through your healing journey.
