More about Rebecca

I work with warmth, compassion and equity to create space for you to explore and release a full range of feelings and experiences. My role as a counsellor is to be alongside you, creating a supported therapeutic space for reflection and emotional release. We can work together to explore patterns of being and thinking that you feel a need to prioritise.  If you are seeking supported challenge I will encourage you to compassionately explore alternative views on situations and offer support as you experiment with changes. I will help you to recognise your own power and find ways to live your life as well as you possibly can, including finding ways to manage stressors and difficulties which are not not in your power to control.  Counselling is not about being helped by someone else who suggests solutions to your problems, it is a process of discovery we make together.  My role is to support you in taking the risk of sharing and helping you to take care of yourself. Counselling with me is a place where you will have space and time to focus on yourself.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
