As a therapist I endeavour to create a safe therapeutic space, with an atmosphere that is receptive and facilitative of the change and growth that you are looking for. I hope to meet you exactly where you are in your processing – and therefore do not specialise as such - I am interested in personal growth and empowerment more than specific problems. I have long-term experience working with many people at different stages of living and; people with widely different circumstances and presenting concerns. With all clients I focus on the connective tissue of empathy and positive regard.

During the pandemic many people confronted aspects of themselves and life experiences in ways they hadn’t done before. For some people there were issues from the past that bubbled to the surface in ways that were painful and overwhelming. Others were able to get in touch with latent aspirations and dreams often in need of some nurturing. Many people have begun to look more closely at their relationships with partners, family and friends. Many have realised that the most important and often most neglected relationship is the one that they have with themselves. It sometimes needs an update!

This, I believe, is where therapy is really useful, offering an opportunity to stand back a little from the life that you are currently living, often under considerable pressure to deliver at work and in relationships. In the therapeutic relationship external criteria of success and achievement do not matter. When we achieve a ‘good enough’ therapeutic connection those things that really matter to you are centre stage. A facilitative therapeutic space allows you to explore facets and nuances of yourself, to heal some of the wounds of living that you will almost certainly have picked up along the way and to make the changes you need to live a happier, more satisfying life.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
