My time with Lynsey has honestly been the most transformative period of my life to date. Coming from a therapist who wasn't a good fit, I was nervous about the therapy process, but Lynsey's professionalism soon put me at ease. She listened carefully, understood my issues and gave me a safe space to explore them at my own pace. She also checked in with me regularly, sent me helpful worksheets and taught me techniques that I still use to this day. I can honestly say that she's made a massive difference to my life and I credit the improvement in my mental health to her therapy sessions and the skills and insight she gave me. Thank you Lynsey!

Integrative counselling draws on techniques from different types of therapy to tailor an approach specifically for you. After successfully completing the necessary education, exams, training, and practice, Lynsey Adams, MBACP is a qualified integrative therapist trained, experienced, and is registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Integrative therapy can help you with a range of short and long-term issues, including but not limited to; anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, addictions, bereavement and low self-esteem.

Integrative therapy can have many benefits because it’s so personalised and such well-rounded support.

The integrative approach may include elements of person-centred therapy. This focuses on you rather than the counsellor being the expert on yourself, and aims to help you reach your full potential.

We may draw on psychodynamic therapy. This involves helping you to bring your subconscious  - what is just below the surface of your awareness - into your conscious mind. It helps you become more aware of what’s in your subconscious, such as difficult memories and experiences, so you can understand how these deep-rooted feelings impact on you in the present and how you can learn to cope with them.

Elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) may be brought in. This looks at your thoughts, feelings and behaviours and helps you to change some of these where they are unhelpful using a variety of practical strategies and tools, such as journaling.

If appropriate for you, elements of other approaches may be brought in too.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
