How we relate to others is key to understand about how we make sense of our world; setting up and maintaining our boundaries in our relationships can be difficult and getting feedback from others sometimes can make us feel uncomfortable.
We all have natural tendency in ourselves to move in a positive direction; recognising what has been helpful and what kind of behaviour or perspective we would like to change to become the person we wish to be.
The urge that we have, to express ourselves truly to others and to use our capacity in full may be deeply buried in each of us. But for defensive reasons we act in surface level, on a contrary direction to our feelings.

Initial session
The initial session will give us opportunity to address which areas you would like to work on. We will talk about your brief personal history, including your family, childhood, school years, work, significant relationships, and important life events. General assessment to understand your current network, health, and how happy you are with your housing and work.
The next step- short-term or long-term counselling?
Once we decide to work together, the following sessions will be ideally minimum of once per week. There is no commitment to continue certain number of sessions, you can choose how to use your space each week; you may choose to have a short-term counselling (6-12 weeks) where we can have more planned and focused sessions or long-term counselling where we can work more in a deeper level.

Having had the opportunity to talk with Dilek for a number of months now, I am really appreciative of the guidance she has given me. Despite me sometimes being slow to respond or missing sessions, she is always understanding and encouraging. I really feel supported when I speak with her.

Dilek has been helping me to work through some difficulties I am currently having by really getting to know me and what has led me to my current situation. She checks in with me regularly and I feel comfortable sharing how I am feeling with her, it is nice to have an impartial person that listens and is able to proactively encourage me to engage when I am feeling less motivated.
I have done 4 or 5 sessions now and Dilek has been great - she explained the process to me and then spent 2 or so sessions asking questions. Before the end of the second session she started changing from asking to discussing and by the end of the 3rd or 4th session I realised she understood my problems better than I do and has given me some pushes, hints and gentle advice (as well as conversations) that have helped me see things I hand't before, helped in general and helped me see where I need to work on improving myself. Unfortunately I have nothing to compare this experience with as this is my first time but Dilek has shown me what people mean when they say 'everyone should try therapy - even if they don't think they need it'. In summery these sessions are helping me and I am grateful for them. p.s. Dilek often checks in and replies in a timely manner to my messages.

I am very grateful to Dilek for the few months I have had her as a therapist and have made the decision to move on from therapy for now after I was able to work through a lot of my issues with her and find ways to deal with the stress I have been going through. Dilek is a lovely therapist, understanding and caring, I feel listened too without judgement and even though I feel like I'm going mad repeating myself to her, she will reassure me that things will get better and sends me worksheets and information to help other than talking.

Brilliant service
Every word on Dilek's profile about her style and appproach is 100% accurate. I never knew that I needed a safe space to just talk and I never imagined that someone could not only sit there and listen to me but reallyyy listen, understand and interpret my words and then ask any needed questions to clarify. I have tried therapy twice before but I feel like I found the "perfect" therapist for me in Dilek. She is understanding and does not judge me, which is something that I was always secretly afraid of and had hindered me from truly opening up to a therapist. She truly is non-judgemental and this seems to come to her so naturally, it's not forced you know? There is nothing more comforting than sharing your feelings with someone who does not judge you, asks you questions to understand you, and provides you with the space to help you to reflect and to understand yourself better. She is intuitive, understanding, respectful, professional, and very kind, but still able to make me reconsider my perspective. Without pandering to me at all and without agreeing with everything, she is so empathetic. I can feel free to feel my feelings and I never feel judged or shut down by her. On top of this, she encourages me to share any lingering or ongoing feelings by checking in with me regularly during the week too (I have the tendency to retreat into myself when I don't have to talk, but I find that once I start typing a response back, I end up just letting out more so it has been very useful for me). Dilek has gently encouraged me to see some life events and relationship interactions from an alternative perspective and this has helped me to understand more about myself as well as others around me. I am so so grateful to be on this journey with her support.
