More about Phoebe

  • 20 years' experience
  • Female

Hello my name is Phoebe, I am a Counselling Psychologist and also a qualified Coach. I have many years experience working with a wide range of psychological and life problems, in a variety of different services. These include adult mental health and health psychology, learning disabilities and staff counselling. I am also a qualified teacher and originally worked with children and adult students.

I can use a range of different therapeutic approaches, depending upon the particular issues the client brings to therapy. I prefer person-centred approaches which place the person at the centre of the therapy and seek to find solutions to the problems presented. I have a sensitive, thoughtful approach which values really listening to the client and helping them find answers to whatever problem they are experiencing. I find my years of life experience, as well as many years clinical training are helpful with this.

Thank you for your interest, I look forward to working with you.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. My sessions with Dr Alonso have been of great benefit. This was my third attempt at some sort of therapy and has been the most useful one so far. Excellent listening skills and thus great at suggesting relevant solutions. Highly recommended
