I’ve had the same therapist for the last 5 years before better help, and though she was great, I think Cynthia is a much better fit for me in certain ways. I like that she helps me try to determine the underlying motives behind my own behavior so that instead of feeling shame or guilt about them I can gain insight. I appreciate her unique perspectives on things.

More about Cynthia

I aim to work collaboratively with my clients to help them through the various roadblocks and difficulties that life presents. People frequently limit themselves based on old assumptions and expectations and it can be freeing to start to disentangle this. The emotional pain caused by these issues is often isolating and confusing and I believe that it can be healing to have somebody else there with you to explore and process.

My approach to therapy is to use self understanding and awareness as a mechanism for change.

While my style is primarily insight-oriented, I have experience incorporating behavioral therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy into my approach.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
