Shawana has been an absolute incredible help! She is patient and kind and very receptive! She broke things down for me in a way that would truly reach me and she took her time making sure that I truly understood what I was asking for and helped me to understand what I needed. I expressed to her what I needed as far as being more open to communicating with her and how sometimes intense conversations make me anxious and she made each conversation feel doable and relatable and easy. She was phenomenal and she answered all of my questions, even the ones I didn’t know how to ask. She made sure that even if I started a session on a low that it ended on a high or at least with a laugh and a smile. I truly enjoyed our sessions and even looked forward to them! I would absolutely recommend Shawana to the whole world if I could!

I’ve had 3 therapists prior to joining Better Help and being connected with Shawana and she is the only one that has tailored my therapy experience to me. She tells me what I need to hear and is real with me. The others gave very basic and general responses and activities.
