Hello and welcome to my page!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina with over 20 years of experience in the counseling field. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, providing individual, couples, group and family therapy. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, military lifestyle challenges (deployment/reintegration cycle), addictions and ADHD. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach includes client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavior, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy. I also specialize in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), working with caregivers and their children (ages 2 -7) who are experiencing behavioral and/or emotional challenges. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

I’ve had 3 sessions with Lisa and she’s been a great listener as well as given me suggestions. It’s my first time in therapy and she has made me feel comfortable from the get go!
Lisa really gets me. Her understanding of the world that I live in is so helpful. She always seems to know the right thing to say or the right road for us to go down to get to the heart of what I am going through. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
Lisa is the first therapist I ever consulted and I really appreciate the work she has done with me so far. She is generous and has a lot of empathy. She has given me tools to reframe my thinking and be more organized. Though I am still in the process of building these skills, I feel like Lisa has helped connect me with some missing pieces of the puzzle of my mental health. I am very grateful for that.
Lisa.is a great therapist who is kind, but straight forward with her guidance. Her guidance is helping me to become more self aware of my feelings and actions, resulting in healthier relationships with my family and friends.
