I’m Dawn and I specialize in individual therapy with adolescents and adults who find challenges in the areas of depression, anxiety, trauma, racial conflict, family separation, and life transitions. For over 10 years I've worked with individuals and families going through some of the most challenging times of their lives. Through a person-centered approach I aim to assist clients in addressing challenges and working toward desired changes. While I have the most experience working with adolescents and young adults ages 13-40, I am more than open to assisting individuals of all backgrounds.

As a Clinical Social Worker, I consider all factors that impact your life. I believe no one technique or treatment modality works for everyone, and it is my pleasure to help personalize each session to meet your individual needs. As your therapist, I will respect your pace within the therapeutic alliance, but I may also challenge you. Change is difficult and you are not alone. I believe we can create a safe space to process life experiences. I will support and assist you in working towards changing your life narrative.

It would be my pleasure to answer any additional questions you may have.

Thank you for considering me and I look forward to hearing from you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
