Everyone has periods in their life when they need professional help and I view therapy as an aspect of maintaining good health. Through my personal experience and in my practice, I focus on integration, skills training, and a strengths-based approach toward healthy living. When clients enter therapy, many are ambivalent about their goals, feel uninspired, unfulfilled or are facing a life crisis. I provide therapeutic support and creative processes to promote overall health and wellbeing, helping clients resolve their concerns and learn meaningful, easy to implement skills toward creating lasting happiness in their lives. This is an invitation for support as you deeply commit to yourself toward living your dreams. I offer challenging exercises, motivation and support as you discover a more fulfilling, engaged, joyful purpose in life.
I am licensed in Illinois with 10 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, motivation, self esteem, and confidence, & career difficulties. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Wendy is a wonderful therapist. She listens to every concern and offers real solutions to help me.
I joined Better Help at a pivotal point in my life and Wendy has been a consistent guide through a difficult growth period. She has helped me to see myself as I should and to work through my emotions and trauma with love and understanding for myself. I am grateful to have her as a friend and a guide.
I've been speaking with Wendy for coming up on a year. She met me at probably the worst time in my life and really helped me build the skills I needed to get myself back to being me. She helped me view things from all perspectives and showed me things I could do in times of crisis to calm myself down and get back to focusing on the things that matter. I appreciate the non-judgmental space she created and would fully recommend Wendy to anyone!
Wendy has been vital in helping me overcome the self-doubt, depression, and anxiety I was feeling. She has provided helpful tools and her knowledge to help me see different perspectives about myself.
Great
Amazing!!! Never had a good experience with counseling until now. She's more than a counselor....felt like a friend. Easy to open up to and felt genuinely cared for.
Wendy is a great fit! She will check in with you in between sessions and find exercises to work on between meetings that coincide with what issues you have brought up. Her sense of humor and understanding nature makes her a great choice. I hope to be back on BetterHelp one day :)
Wendy is the best therapist
Wendy has been a great therapist to work with. She’s supplied some really great resources for me to work on with anxiety and depression and I’m excited to keep working with her!
Wendy has been an integral part of the positive changes that I have been making in my life over the past 4 months and I am so grateful for her and the connection we have. I trust her and recommend her to anyone that would benefit from transparency, clarity and a caring heart.
Wendy is very professional and she always makes me feel heard and validated. She uses techniques to help me set concrete goals and to create doable practices to develop coping mechanisms. She is very trusting and empathetic.
Friendly and make me feel better
She's very helpful and insightful!
Wendy is my second therapist with BetterHelp. I like her because she encourages me to do better but also she tells me when I am wrong.
My therapist is great
She listens... like, really LISTENS. She also offers suggestions along the way, which let's me know she's listening and processing. We're getting further into sessions, so she's beginning to ask the uncomfortable questions and making me THINK, something I'm not a fan of. It's like avoiding the essay questions on a test, and seeing that multiple choice questions are easier, that's what I LOVE about them.
I enjoyed all of my sessions with Wendy. I was comfortable speaking with her and she was attentive to all that I had to say. For me, the worksheets she provided were excellent, providing skills and tools that I have and will continue to use daily.
If you have a bag full of “stuff” you’d like to release yourself from, Wendy is a top shelf load-lightener. Do yourself and those who care about you a favor by scheduling a consult with Wendy. Life is too short not to … JusSayin
I felt an immediate connection with Wendy. She is warm and understanding and she also challenges me in the right ways.
I’m happy to work with a therapist who fully understands my situation, concerns and goals and how to best navigate through my specific situation.
Wendy is very easy to talk to...and is always actively listening to you...she follows up regularly, and is always providing suggestions to help...
Wendy is very attentive and responsive. I like that she validates my feelings and gives me insight when I need it.
