More about Melissa

Hello. I am a licensed therapist in Pennsylvania with over 23 years of experience. I have worked in a variety of settings with children, teens, and adults to manage a number of concerns including; depression, anxiety, grief and loss, family and relationship issues, attention and concentration (ADHD) and overcoming traumas. I have been blessed with a very rewarding career that I truly enjoy and continue to grow and educate myself so that I may better help others.

Over the years I have learned everyone is capable of change and personal growth if given the support needed to identify their individual strengths and abilities. I also believe that each person is unique and deserves a therapy style/type that best fits their situation and goals. I have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and The Humanistic Approach though I am very flexible so that I can tailor my approach to meet your specific needs. I am a very compassionate and non-judgmental person and have been told many times that I am very approachable and easy to talk to. I will always welcome your feedback and hope you will be open about what is most comfortable for you.

Asking for help truly takes courage and I am so glad you have taken this first step! Change can be scary and I know this isn't an easy process, but I will be there to support and encourage you through your journey of personal growth.

Working with Melissa has been the best experience I have had with a therapist. I have seen many over the years and eventually stop because they didn’t help me solve any of my issues. Melissa has been a blessing to me. She listens and constructively gives the right advice to help you move forward! Highly recommend if you’re looking for resolution!

I was apprehensive about talk therapy after having some of the hardest months of my life. But I came across a Betterhelp advertisement on Facebook and decided to give it a try. Once I finally found Melissa she has been great! She's very personable and seems to get me. She listens and offers advice and helps to set small goals each week. I'm really surprised at how easily I connected with her and pleased that the app gives us a way to check in whenever needed. I'm hopeful, and grateful for the help.

Melissa makes an effort to provide fast feedback and convenient time slots. She has been incredibly helpful in spotting ways to break down where a tweak in a problem might help you to get where you envision yourself to be. Her expertise and background is nothing to sniff at either, so if you're willing to put in the effort, so will Melissa.
