I was matched with Vicki Zeitner, who is amazing, we weren’t the perfect match because of my background and well she doesn’t specialize in that specific background but she listened and tried her best and was so supportive. We both came to an agreement that I needed to look for another therapist because she wanted to make sure I got the best out of therapy. She helped me walk through that process and I am now waiting to hear back from better help. Regardless she’s amazing and super supportive and informative and I would highly recommend her to anyone!

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with nearly 20 years of experience helping people manage stress, anxiety, negativity and depressed mood, problematic patterns in relationship, unexpected life events, losses and transitions. I can help you improve communication, achieve work-life balance, manage troubling moods and anxiety, and to understand yourself better. Sometimes we need help making an important decision, and at other times we just need someone to listen deeply and understand.
I've worked in community mental health agencies, outpatient counseling centers and inpatient treatment programs, and I love what I do. My life experience spans 60 years, starting on the east coast and making home on the west. I've lived in urban and rural communities with exposure to very different cultures. And I spent nearly 15 years in academia, giving me an intimate understanding of university life.
My therapeutic approach will be based on your needs. I apply solution-focused therapy for many issues and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for anxiety and depression. How we talk to ourselves and frame our experience directly impacts how we feel and how we approach challenging circumstances. Much of how we think and behave is shaped by significant others and impactful events in our early lives. Bringing mindful awareness to these habitual ways of thinking and behaving is the first step toward a new experience. Please note: I do not treat active addictions, acute psychiatric conditions, active eating disorders or self-harm.
My counseling style is casual and conversational, accepting and curious. I will help clarify your values and strengths, ask questions, offer alternatives, and honor your choices. I may offer resources to guide you outside of session. And because I'm committed to empowering you, I will always be transparent by sharing what I've learned about mental health.
I embrace all forms of diversity, and believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity. If you are introspective, able to reflect on your experience and work through discomfort, are motivated for change, and willing to apply the work outside of session, we'll make a great fit.
With all of the changes and challenges that confront us now it can sometimes be hard to remain present and cope with it all. Sometimes we just need another set of eyes and ears to help regain our ground or shift perspective. At other times, we just need to know that someone really "gets" us, and supports us through a tough time. If two heads are better than one, there's no need for you to feel stuck in your own.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Vicky listened carefully to my words and put energy into understanding me and offering me helpful insights
Amazing perspective
Vicki has been an amazing support. I appreciate their approach and their overall demeanor. I always feel heard and respected and would recommend Vicki to anyone.
I have had a great experience with Vicki and feel so held and heard.
Vicki is very thoughtful and helps me see things from a different perspective. She's always challenging me to see things differently and help remove my negative thoughts. Vicki has helped given me good tools and ideas on my day to day life. I truly appreciate her.
Our 1st conversation, I explained that I live pretty rural and my phone will lose signal. She was understanding and accommodating. She continues to keep in communication with me. I appreciate the continued support.
I had a brief but great experience with Vicki. She helped me to come up with a game plan to remove work pressures and it was great having someone to talk to about the stress.
Vicki is a good listener who helps me feel validated.
Vicki has been a light at the end of the tunnel for me, her intelligence and expertise stood out to me from our first session together. Strongly recommend her to anyone who is looking for professional mental health services. Thank you Vicki!
Vicki is very kind, and listens well and is understanding in what you have to say. I recommend her.
I’m not sure how we actually were paired, but if I’d interviewed several therapists, Vicki would be the one I’d choose. She’s been immensely helpful and supportive through a difficult time, I’ve learned strategies for changing my behaviors and thought patterns, a meditation technique, and solutions when I can’t see them, and I greatly appreciate her being here for me.
I like that Vicki asks probing questions to get me talking and she always listens and makes sure she's understanding what I say
I was paired with Vicki to help with life changes after a new baby, and feeling distant from who I am as a person; struggling to get my emotions in check. Vicki is a wonderful listener, and gives actual helpful advice and solutions. I have seen an improvement in my communication with my partner and family, and also feel not so alone and misunderstood. I appreciate Vicki and her help and kindness and patience so much! Her help has been invaluable to me.
Transformative, so smart and wise, has me making great progress
Vicki is such a special human and has aided in many healing moments for me. Such a gifted therapist.
Excellent
Vicki is a great therapist! She listens empathetically, but also challenges my perspective in a caring way when I need it. Working with her has been very helpful over the past 6 months
She is so calming to talk to, i'm new to therapy and was very afraid of it but now I feel I can ask her tough questions in a safe enviorment.
Vicki has been great so far! I've really enjoyed working with her over the last couple weeks. She responds to messages super quickly, and is always looking out for my best interests. I really appreciate working with her and am excited to continue working with her
Vicki is amazing! She is always engaged during our conversations and knows how to offer me potential solutions and advice without being too prescriptive or overbearing. I feel like I've been able to learn a lot more about myself and my mental health needs as a result of meeting with her, and I believe this awareness will grow as I continue to talk to Vicki!
Vicki makes me feel seen, heard, and understood. She has such a gift of helping people better understand themselves. Would 10/10 recommend working with Vicki as she is such a safe space.
Vicki is an amazing therapist. She listens and helps you move forward in a positive manner. She is compassionate and loving and is a wonder person to have in your life.
Vicki is amazing. Empathetic and knowledgeable and asks me questions to clarify my life challenges. She’s the best and I canceled my other therapist because Vicki is much better.
I had always been curious about therapy, but had never been. After what seemed like a lifetime of covid, constant change in the world, and a bad breakup...I needed help. Vicki has been just that, such a great help. She is calm, understanding, professional, and patient. I couldn't have asked for a better therapist to be placed with. I feel heard, supported, and valued. She takes the time for each one of her clients, and supports us with specific tools for our mental health. I feel grateful for this website, and for Vicki.
Vicki is an exceptional listener with tremendous insight and expertise. Her calm and kind presence allows you to feel comfortable and heard, allowing the space to get to the core of the issues. She has great attention to detail as she pin pointed patterns I wasn’t seeing myself. Vicki is a wonderfully gifted counselor whom I would seek guidance from again in the future. Thank you Vicki!
I highly recommend Vicki as a therapist - she listened deeply, quickly understood all of the information I was dumping at her, and was able to respond thoughtfully with added insight that offered me both comfort and reflection that set me at ease and helped me broaden my perspective on my issues. In addition she gave me some suggested journaling and reflection prompts that helped me get unstuck in a couple of key areas and communicate with my family and friends in a way that moved our relationships forward. She is extremely effective, empathetic, and easy to talk to. 10/10!!!
Vicki is thoughtful and informed! I have gotten more out of our email exchanges than I have gotten out of some whole books I have read. Therapy can work, especially when you are working with someone who understands your goals and can help you see them more clearly.
Vicki is a careful listener, extremely professional and offers insights when appropriate. I felt immediately comfortable sharing my feelings with Vicki and am finding her to be very helpful already after just two sessions. I feel very lucky that I connected with Vicki and would recommend her strongly.
