Joan in an incredible therapist. I came to her with a number of things I needed to work on, death, trauma, anxiety, etc. With her help, I have gone from being terrorized by my anxiety to now having the tools to work through them in a safe and healthy manner. I hope everyone finds a therapist like Joan, someone who listens, empathizes, gives lots of tools and creates a safe place to grow and share.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Joan is great at holding space and creating a sense of safety to open up and share the more difficult things I need to unpack and heal. In my efforts at creating positive change in life, I have (finally) decided to enter into counseling and my only regret is that I did not do this sooner; had I known it would be this empowering, I surely would have taken this step a long time ago. Joan is wonderful.
