Jason is great to talk to. He was very easy to open up to. I trusted his thoughts and advice. I appreciated how he could so easily integrate my Christian faith into our conversation. That means a lot to me. I highly recommend talking with Jason.

More about Jason

  • 10 years' experience
  • Male
  • LPCC

I am a LPCC-S in Kentucky with over 10 years of experience that include working as a treatment director and therapist of a mental health facility. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, DMDD, ODD, PTSD and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse, and I am certified for TF-CBT and working on the trauma narrative. I have worked with all ages which includes children (6-12), adolescents (13-20), and adults.

My therapy style is warm and interactive. I like to tell jokes and make others laugh because sometimes laughter is the best medicine but Iam also direct and will challenge you to be a better version of yourself. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, person centered and rational-emotive therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Jason has been very supportive and understanding of my experiences and issues that brought me to better help. I have better tools to navigate the ebb and flow of anxiety and depression. He gave me book recommendations and workbooks to work from. His help has been priceless (well as much as I pay!) I would recommend him to anyone who has adopted a child and whose marriage is strained and is dealing with demons in their head. I’ve learned to not dismiss my issues as insignificant or less than when discussing myself because we all have value to bring to the table and Jason helped me get that back!

His advice and understanding of how the brain works makes him a highlight of my week. Wouldn’t be the person that I am today with out him and I definitely have some more work to do.

To call Jason a Godsend would be an understatement. I’ve sought therapy from different people over the years and this is the first time I have found someone who actively does things to help. He’s the first person to give me exercises and tasks that actually help me cope with my depression. He is a great listener and also calls me out which I greatly appreciate. I’m lucky to have found him as my therapist and utterly grateful for his help.

I found Jason to be approachable, friendly, practical, and direct...exactly what I needed. He is thoughtful and really cares about my well-being. I didn't feel like just a number, he truly paid attention to me and quickly identified what I needed. Then, we formulated a plan and tackled the problem with practical examples and specific tactics. I found him to be responsive when I wrote in my journal or sent him a message. He's really helped me get to a place I feel I can continue to implement tactics he has helped me put together.
