Mahiboob is an amazing therapist! This was my first time doing therapy and I genuinely loved every minute of it. When I started, I was extremely anxious about my relationships and my job. Weekly sessions with Mahiboob definitely made my life easier. She pointed out the thinking patterns I was caught in and gave me amazing techniques to help ground myself and ways to change my thinking. Prior to signing up with BetterHelp, my anxiety had gotten so bad that it actually landed me in the hospital (I went in with severe chest pains, and they determined that it was basically an anxiety attack manifesting as (what felt like) a heart attack). I am happy to report that after 2 months of working with Mahiboob every week (even when I had covid, thank goodness for virtual sessions!), I feel like I've made a ton of progress from where I started to where I am now. Mahiboob has been warm, friendly and consistent with her approach, and I very much look forward to our session each week. She has given me several coping methods to help manage my anxiety, and while I don't practice every single one every day, I do try to incorporate at least 1-2 each day if I can. More importantly, I am much more aware in the moment when I start spiraling and am able to catch myself and immediately begin implementing the techniques that Mahiboob has taught me to help manage my anxiety. I've talked about needing to go to therapy for a long time, and I'm so thankful that I finally did this for myself and that BetterHelp connected me with Mahiboob!

This is my first time doing therapy and I've been working with Mahiboob for the past 5 months or so and it's been a great experience so far. Going into therapy I did not know what to expect and was somewhat intimidated by the whole process, but immediately she made me feel comfortable. Being a second generation immigrant it was important that I found a therapist who could empathize with the cultural differences between generations to help me navigate through some family issues I've been putting off for some time.
