More about Amanda

  • 3 years' experience
  • Female
  • LPC

I have been working in the field of psychology for the past 20 years. I have experience working with individuals struggling with negative self-talk, low self-esteem, mood instability, challenging irrational beliefs and anxiety/depression. For the past 10 years, I have been working in a private practice setting with the primary diagnoses of anxiety/depression. I use the treatment modalities of client-centered approach, solution focused therapy as well as cognitive behavioral therapy. I believe that building a trusting therapeutic relationship is to take the challenges life throws at us and turn them into positive changes within ourselves. I believe we all deserve a chance to feel our best and overcome many of life's obstacles that are placed along our path. Throughout our lives we go through difficult times that can make life unmanageable on our own.

As your therapist, I will work with you to reduce the stress that comes along with many of life's stressors. I have over 15 years working with people in distress and helping them become the people they want to be.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
