Hello, my name is Magniola (Maggie) Duré. I received my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Counseling Therapy from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and graduated in September 2018. Currently, I am certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors-1142451. I am also licensed as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina-15020. I approach counseling as a collaborative process in which the clients and I will be able to establish a trusting and safe therapeutic relationship. Throughout the relationship, we will work as a team to explore and define present life difficulties and develop goals for the future to promote wellness using evidence-based practices. Person-Centered Counseling, Solution-Focused Counseling, Interpersonal Counseling, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatment modalities are my expertise.
I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence, career difficulties, & coping with life changes. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Maggie is a very caring and responsive therapist. She listens well and can pinpoint the root of the issue quite quickly. After every session I always learn something about myself and steps to apply for the week. I also appreciate how she shows her faith in her counsel. I appreciate that she always points me back to God.
Maggie really listens and is intentional about helping. She makes you feel comfortable expressing your thoughts
Maggie has been wonderful. She listens to me, and connects the dots very well in terms of my emotional needs. She helps me to delve further into figuring out what I need without “pushing”. It’s like she just knows how far I can go :)
Magnolia is great at allowing you to express your feelings in a safe space. She lets the conversation flow effortlessly into the deeper lesson behind life’s trails. It is eye opening. My favorite thing she does is giving thought provoking homework!
