I came to Laura with a lot of stuff that I felt like I couldn’t tell anyone else. I’ve always felt like my baggage was too much of a burden to share with someone else. I can happily say, I don’t feel that way anymore thanks to her.

She has been understanding and helping support me to gradually move towards my life goals. Through her I have discovered the ability to better talk about elements of myself, and I can think through what I do and do not want to improve on. With her I can now properly express myself to others. I've always been open to people, but my expression was never in-depth or eloquent when hitting the harder issues until Laura.

Hello! My name is Laura Lininger, LCSW. I attended Indiana University and got my BA in Psychology and then moved on to Tulane University in NOLA for my Masters in Social Work. I have worked for many years doing child and adolescent therapy and then later added working with adults to the services I provide. I believe my child and adolescent therapy background has been a great foundation for working with adults who are dealing with childhood trauma or family of origin issues. As for treatment approaches, I use Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR. I also include a lot of mindfulness practice in my work with clients. I am proud to provide a safe environment for all races, genders, religions, and clients from the LGBTQ community.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Very good with helping and understanding.
I am very impressed with how Laura listens to my concerns and then offers useful advice on how to deal with these issues. She makes me feel good about my decision to sign up for therapy.
Very helpful in the first session, I’ve always been dismissive of getting help even when I had a therapist. Laura made me feel comfortable and open, safe that I could talk about what i need help with. I truly appreciate Laura
I Enjoy our sessions, she really listens and makes a Comfortable calm environment for you to express your feelings. The weekly messages and worksheets help me in between sessions
Laura is a great listener and she also helps to see things that you may not normally see on your own about yourself and how you deal with others. I highly recommend Laura‘s therapy!!
Laura is very kind and knowlegible
Laura is amazing, kind, understanding
I’ve been in therapy off and on since 2009 and this is the first therapy experience that has been so eye opening. I’ve never had such instant gratification in a first session and which continues through all of our sessions. I have unfolded YEARS of trauma in just a few sessions and so many answers that seem so clear to me now. I can now officially start my journey towards a better life knowing what I know now. Laura is one of a kind and I will cherish the tools Ive been given for a life time.
I've only had a few sessions with Laura but she is very thorough in her questions and asks lots of them in order to get the history. She also shares information about what to expect going forward and checks in after our session.
She's a great therapist and has helped me so much in the short time period we've known eachother.

I have been working with Lori for two weeks now. She always responds to me in a timely manner. I feel like she understands my issues and their source. My exchange with Lori already helped me to put things into perspective and I am looking forward to continuing my therapy with her.
Great therapist who was prompt to help even though we’ve never met in person , her ability to help me thru the medium of an app was amazing !
I am glad I got matched up with Lori. She is a sweet and calming presence and makes it easy to just let the memories and words flow. She has also been able to guide me to explore more on certain topics that has been brought up in our sessions, which has really helped me uncover more of what I have been keeping inside.
Very thankful for Lori’s help in exploring my own emotions and how to better comfort and understand their origins.
