He has done an incredible job working through issues with me. His non-judge mental attitude has helped me open up so much. He provides you with all different methods of communication even just messaging for those who have phone anxiety such as myself. He has helped me get a better mindset and I can’t thank him enough!

More about Mark

I am a LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Chicago IL.

As a farmer transplanted and somewhat saturated into Chicago's urban scene, I've seen some amazing life. I've seen that the barnyard and the urban streets share in common; birth and death, toil and victory, need and plenty, and together have access to the unlimited strength, support and touch of God. Gracious and unrelenting, God’s love sees past our limits. Accessible here and now, God offers hope. For some this hope is hard to see and even harder to lay hold of. Light and the fresh breeze of truth clear the way to see and live in this healing hope.

My path of light and truth included a bachelor's degree in Bible and Theology followed by a Masters Degree in Social Work. I've since been blessed with some years of service both in church settings and community social service settings. Searching and navigating in addiction, chronic mental illness, family protection and restoration, urban poverty and homelessness have refined and reinforced my hope.

Empathic understanding, honesty and an accurate assessment of self and situation are our bedrock to growth and change. With these counseling, maybe some case management and a bit of work, hope can heal and light the way.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
