I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. I value therapy as being a collaborative process and strive to create a warm, welcoming and non-judgmental environment for my clients. I use a holistic approach and aim to be culturally sensitive, catering to each individuals’ unique worldview. Through therapy, my goal is to help clients feel empowered and validated so they can increase self-efficacy, decrease problematic symptoms, gain insight and self-awareness and learn how to heal in order to have a more positive life experience. I use a strengths based, person centered approach. I am interested in helping people who struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, emotional disturbances (including anger management concerns), stress management, and trauma. Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

This is my first experience with a therapist so my learning curve is high. How Amy stays so calm, attentive and respectful is beyond me. The tangled mess that I feel in my life is slowly being unraveled and addressed. It kind of sneaks' up on you and you begin to accept things, question things and open up areas buried deep. It seems simplistic but effective. Amy has definitely helped me.
