I've worked with a few other professionals on BetterHelp, Dr. Pagano is by far the best! He listens intently and asks guiding questions that allow me to sort through my thoughts and emotions. After each session, I find myself with more confidence in my decision making and more capable of managing anxiety.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri. I have been with BetterHelp for almost three years. I also have worked with university students, over a wide spectrum of treatment issues - anxiety and depression, gender identity, relationships, sexual addiction, drug and alcohol addictions, personality disorders, curriculum, and career choices, and adjustment to college life. The Army Medical Service Corps also provided a wide array of personnel, family, work, career, and life change experiences.

My approach is focused on client needs and draws from several treatment models - attachment theory, object relations, self-psychology, existential, and person-centered therapies. My style is respectful, empathic, and interactive.

It is important to feel good and be happy with one's career and relationships. There is great benefit in striving for a richer life. A relationship with a therapist is a positive step in the right direction.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

What I appreciated about Salvatore was his willingness to let you explore your own feelings without judgement. Depending on your needs, he is happy to give you the space to just sit with your feelings, to offer the questions that will guide you closer to your authentic emotions, as well as to offer you an interpretation of your words back to you in order to help you see a new path forward. Salvatore is good about taking notes and returning to themes that develop across sessions. I recommend Salvatore to people dealing with relationship issues, anxiety, and loneliness, among others.
