Are you feeling overwhelmed and are just going through the motions to get through the day? Have you come to a place in life where strategies that may have worked in the past are less helpful now? Are you ready to look beyond what you think the world wants of you and are seeking different answers?

If you are exploring Better Help, the first big step to a more meaningful life is already behind you. Deciding to ask for support requires a great deal of strength, so nice work! Finding the right therapist to build a connection with is very important to making the progress you would like to achieve. Here is a little information about me and how I could support you:

Hi! My name is Jennifer Mely (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor) and I have been providing a warm therapeutic environment to connect with and empower clients for over the past 10 years. My experience has given me opportunities to work with people from all different backgrounds who are struggling with a wide variety of challenges. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I approach counseling through a person-centered approach; I tailor therapy based on your needs. I believe in meeting you where you are at while using reflective questioning to guide our sessions and desired change. I believe in treating people with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. My role is to help you discover what is already there, as opposed to fixing something that is broken. I believe that each of us are our own experts in our lives and we have the strength we need inside of us to find solutions to the problems and difficulties we face in life. I would like to work with you to empower you to look within to find the resources and supports you need. You don’t have to do this alone!

Therapy can be challenging sometimes. I respect you immensely for realizing it’s time to not face the tough stuff alone. I look forward to meeting you and joining alongside you as you navigate through some of life’s more challenging adventures!

I am currently accepting new clients!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Jennifer is understanding which is helpful to me because then I don’t feel as if I’m being judged. I am more open because I feel I can say anything and it won’t be used against me. In just a couple of sessions, I am more aware of certain tendencies I have where I am causing myself to be more anxious. The worksheets have been a nice tool to look back at and I’m starting to use the tools and find them extremely helpful so far.

I’m so glad I found Jennifer! I’ve done therapy before with other providers and for some reason we just clicked well. She’s understanding and supportive and almost always can help provide me with another perspective to process what I’ve shared with her. Great conversations every time! Always finds way to help resolve or manage my issues as well as I can. Couldn’t recommend her enough!

Jennifer has made me feel seen in a season where I didn’t even realize I didn’t feel seen. I’ve undergone a time of self discovery since beginning with Jennifer and it’s been so helpful to process through anything and everything with her each week. I appreciate both her letting me just talk through things on my own and her insights and reframes to allow me to see what I’m going through through new eyes. I would recommend her to anyone!
