Jennifer has been an absolute safe haven for me during my best and worst moments. She is patient, kind. and a very good listener who gives sound advice and insights. She is a great asset to those who struggle with social anxiety, and is very non-judging and will let you speak your mind on whatever you feel you need to get the air out for. Highly recommend

I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Michigan with over 15 years experience providing human services and counseling to families and individuals across the lifespan in-person, on the phone, and online formats. I have worked with clients on a wide range of issues from life adjustments to severe and persistent mental illness. I am a special needs parent, with a young adult son with Autism; and another child that is LGBTQ+ approaching being a young adult. Clients often find me to be very relatable because of the combination of my professional and personal experiences.

My therapy style is warm and eclectic. I believe everyone should be given respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I have utilized therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and trauma focused therapy, among others. I tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to best fit your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to live your best life and take steps toward that change. If you are ready to take that first step, I am here to support and encourage you along your journey.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I appreciate the time you took to listen to me. You made me feel calm at times when I felt really anxious, and I never felt judged. Besides learning many coping mechanisms, I liked that you explained to me why I was feeling a certain way about things. This made it easier for me to let go of things that were hurting me from my past.
