I am a counselor licensed in Louisiana with over 4 years of experience working with individuals, children, and families. I provide culturally competent care and specialize in anxiety, depression, transitional issues, trauma, grief, mood disorders, and child behavioral issues.
My mission is to normalize therapy and destigmatize the labels associated with mental health. I believe that individuals are the experts in their lives. My role as your counselor is to serve as a guide by identifying emotions, processing past trauma, and teaching coping skills to regulate your nervous system. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy along with psychoeducation, creative arts, and mindfulness.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Brittany has been amazing. She’s helped me look at people differently and approach issues both thoughtfully and compassionately. It’s been eye opening, and transformative.
I really appreciate and value Brittney as a therapist. She is an active listener and very compassionate, empathetic, and professional. It is evident that she also has personal experience which validates her expertise. It is much more valuable to receive advice and guidance from a counselor who has some experience in the field they're leading. If they have never had a struggle in their area of expertise, are they really an expert on the topic? Not in my opinion. I believe that you can tell when someone shares similar experiences even if it's not actually communicated, just by their compassion and approach. She is also thorough in getting to know your concerns and sensitive to not overwhelm you with feedback, yet providing effective tools that can be used practically.
