More about Cynthia

- LCSW, LICSW
I have 21 years experience providing evidenced based therapy to young and older adult clients. I am a trained Clinical Social Worker coming from private practice, college mental health and geriatric behavioral health background who will listen with acceptance and encouragement. I primarily work with new clients experiencing anxiety or depression related symptoms, going through life changes/motivation work, grief and loss, and accept clients with chronic mental health backgrounds such as bipolar and other chronic mental health conditions. I provide evidenced based therapies and am eclectic, using strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Validation Therapy, and some Dialectical Behavior Therapy, to name a few.
We begin the therapy relationship where the client is (where you are) and establish a plan that is comfortable for you. I genuinely like people. I have a heart for listening and exploring thoughts and feelings about your life and events. I do like to make our therapy actionable--- and I want to help you find clarity, establish therapy goals, and move towards healthy actionable coping/change.
Together, we find strategies that can improve internal acceptance, healthy coping, and ultimately making personal, relationship, environmental changes. I look forward to working together!

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Excellent listener and good advisor
Dr. Baker made me feel very comfortable with talking to her. This is my first time doing therapy and I was so glad that she made me feel like it was okay to open up about my situation. She made me feel heard and provided so many great things for me to continue using in my daily life in order to be better.
Cynthia was so caring & I felt really heard when speaking to her. Would highly recommend working with Cynthia!
I have been seeing Cynthia for 3 months now and she already helped me a lot. (I can really feel my life is changing for the better!) She is great listener, compassionate and really caring therapist. Her reflections always give me something to work on until next session together. She has been my business coach and have been following me in all my anxiety and down moments working on teaching me the tools to be able to overcome them. She has being patience and waiting for me to be ready to work on the next step. It’s being such a great journey and I am looking forward to continuing it. I would strongly suggest her an better help!
I LOVE HER
I have been matched with Cynthia and immediately she was able to connect and build a great rapport with me. She made me feel safe and listen to during our sessions. For the first time, I wasn't anxious before therapy sessions. During our sessions, her questions and guidance helped me navigate my emotions, like anxiety, stress and burn out, and get to the bottom of what's causing them as well as techniques and strategies on how to deal with them. She challenged me in a productive way that led to big realizations! Cynthia facilitated an environment where I didn't feel judged, could truly open up and let my walls down. She is a Wizard!
I asked for help during the war in my country. Cynthia is my very first therapist and so far I have been satisfied with our meetings. She knows very well how to listen and support. I was very worried before asking for help, but since the first time I have been feeling very comfortable with sharing my problems and worries! Cynthia is a wonderful specialist who helps to gradually understand myself, build confidence and understand my desires!
She has been patient with me. I feel like a vent a ton and I really needed someone to hear me and help me navigate my life woes. She has been helpful
She’s very easy to talk to.
She is very attentive and she brings me back to the point (very good questions and recaps) and she is very helpful on suggesting different strategies to help me cope.
