When I was dealing with a significant crisis in my personal life, and was not sure I would be able to overcome it in time to return to work after a significant leave, I decided to try BetterHelp. A quick chat with a person on a crisis line just wasn’t enough. Thankfully, I was matched with Dr Belhamel almost right away and throughout the long weekend, she helped me work through the crisis which brought back a great deal of previous grief and pain that I thought I had been able to move past. I am very grateful to her for helping me through a very difficult time. As a result, I was able to “get back on my feet”, go back to work, and I am doing much better. I am still seeing Dr Belhamel weekly to continue working on my anxiety, and appreciate her warmth and down to earth attitude that come through even via messaging!

I was very skeptical of the idea of therapy in general as I had never done it. BetterHelp matched me with Dr. Belhamel and right away, I felt like I can actually speak for the first time. I was able to speak freely without the fear of being judged, and she was and has been so understanding and compassionate about my situation and what the healthiest mindset is to approach it. HIGHLY recommend.
