I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with ten years of experience working with children and families. I have been in both counseling and leadership positions for Medicare families. I have provided counseling services in both residential and outpatient settings for at risk youth. I have experience with intense trauma backgrounds and youth navigating systems such as DCS and probation. I take a relational and systems approach in helping kids build a different identify, gain self confidence, and increase their connections. My passion is helping kids and families gain a new perspective and new found meaning to live their best life. I use techniques such as Trauma Informed CBT, DBT and motivational interviewing. My strength is also in partnership with caregivers to provide psychoeducation and support to improve their communication, relationship and responses to their children.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Even in the short time that I’ve been working with Catherine through my trauma, she has already helped me immensely. She has given me tools that actually fit into not only my life but also to my personality. I feel like I’ve grown a lot and really appreciate how much I’ve learned to finally help myself.

Catherine is amazing. She listens and gives me helpful techniques to cope with my mental health issues. She is very flexible with meeting me and making time for me. I’m very grateful that I was able to find her on BetterHelp and I’m feeling so much better thanks to her expertise.

Catherine has only been my therapist for a few weeks, but she instantly eased all of my anxiety and concerns about therapy again. I didn’t have the greatest experience previously with BetterHelp, and I was extremely cautious moving back in, but I felt heard and connected immediately with Catherine. She was patient, she listened to me (even when I rambled and cried) and she validated me in ways I didn’t realize I needed. I would 100% recommend her to anyone and everyone, I haven’t stopped telling my friends and family how incredible she has been for me, even in such a short period of time. Absolutely a blessing during such an uncertain time.
