I am a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Illinois and have been in practice since 2011 when I graduated from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. I have a private practice and provide support at a community based mental health skill based partial hospitalization program for mood disorders.

Choosing a therapist is an important decision and meeting and building a trusting rapport is important to the therapy process. My style is warm, authentic and compassionate. In therapy I provide a welcoming environment for my clients to feel safe and comfortable in order to explore themselves and issues. Theoretically I am client centered and will work collaboratively with my clients to develop a treatment plan that incorporates their mental, emotional, physical and spiritual being. I integrate theory and techniques from cognitive behavioral dialectical behavioral, solution focused, psychoeducation, mindfulness and psychodynamic perspectives to help clients improve their lives through insight, behavior changes, and a positive shift in emotional functioning to help you live a more fulfilling life.

Perhaps you are struggling handling stress better or feeling challenged in your relationships with others. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with men and women of all types of backgrounds with both acute and chronic mood disorders including anxiety depression and bipolar as well as individuals dealing with life adjustments, grief and loss issues, health issues and relational problems.

My passion is to assist my clients on the road to a more fulfilling life by learning and integrating healthy coping skills in their life.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
