My name is Robin

I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at California University, Master's degree from Webster University in Clinical Counseling, and Bachelor's degree from Rollins College in Psychology.

I am a licensed mental health counselor in private practice in Florida.

I completed my internship providing psychological services for teens and young mothers in a pregnancy program, as well as working as a substance abuse counselor with adults. Upon completion of my Master's, I went straight into private practice.

I am a former high school psychology teacher. I serve as a psychology and counseling adjunct professor at Eastern Florida State College.

My area of focus in my practice is on anxiety and depression. I work mainly with people who are feeling stuck and have a negative outlook on life. My goal is helping people gain clarity in their situation and build the skills to find meaning and purpose in their lives.

I use an eclectic approach to therapy. With a mix of CBT to challenge many of those illogical racing thoughts that plague many people with a mix of mindfulness activities, I find my clients do very well with these two modalities. I take each client as a very unique individual so once we meet I can get a better idea of what the client may need as far as treatment approaches.

There is nothing more rewarding than guiding someone through their journey into wellness!

For a minute I thought I could work on things on my own. I found out quickly that I could but, why push a cart up a hill with one wheel when you could have two if you just ask. Bad analogy maybe, but, that’s how I see things. Yes, Robin is a huge help. She is honest, she cares and she has ideas on things I can try that I haven’t or didn’t think of. My issues are many but not as bad as my mind tells me. What I mean to say is, the mole hill isn’t a mountain after all. She has my respect and my ear. I look forward to our talks.

Robin has been so helpful , I love how she just listens and does not cut me off she pays attention and always gives me a different way of seeing things . I love the worksheets they are great to reflect and meditate and become more self aware I love how fast she answers and how she is always keeping in touch . It makes me feel like she really cares and definitely makes me feel more comfortable to open up and say things I usually keep to myself . She is helping me cope with my anxiety and I couldn’t be more grateful . I always felt like I couldn’t reach out to anyone about my problems but Robin was very approachable and open from the first day we talked , she fit me right in her schedule late at night the first time we met because she knew how bad I was feeling at the moment and how bad I needed to talk to someone. I absolutely appreciate the constant feedback on my journal entries. The journal prompts help me dig into something I wouldn’t typically dig into.
