I am a licensed clinical social worker. I began my career in the child dependency field and worked with children and families. I currently work in the hospital setting and my current role is the emergency room social worker. Many of the patients I see have experienced a traumatic event or recent life change. I primarily complete brief interventions in my current role. It would be nice to have a longer-term relationship with my clients to help them achieve their goals. I have a variety of work experience with clients suffering from anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, death and dying, loss and trauma.
My therapy style is open and nonjudgmental. I believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion.
It is a big step to seek therapy and start making changes in your life. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and help you on your journey.
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Enjoyed my Session with Marica. She listens to my issues and help me find ways to work them out. I am grateful for her Presence and patience.
Marcia is very sweet and understanding. She really takes time to listen and find out how she can help.
Marcia has been a godsend. I've put off trying therapy for a long time and talking with her is such a breath of fresh air. She's wonderful at helping me set goals and offering another perspective on my thinking. I appreciate her timeliness in responding to my journal entries and her thoughtful insight. I was told not to worry if I didn't connect with the first therapist I met, but I must have lucked out because in the short period of time I've been using Better Help, I feel like I found my perfect therapist match.
