More about Robert

I have many years of experience working with parents and young adults under and over 18 years of age with personal struggles connected to Bipolar Disorder, Depression, gender identity, anxiety disorder (anxiety NOS, OCD, agoraphobia, Munchausen syndrome by proxy), and individuals with physical disabilities. I spent five years working with individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia and other related disorders. I have worked with couples via individual therapy while combining couples therapy with adults looking for both. I have an eclectic style incorporating numerous modalities. I participated in a year-long study implementing Motivational Interviewing techniques and approaches and have engaged in maintaining those techniques to help individuals struggling with addictions connected to sex, gambling, internet, and alcohol and drugs. I attended Fitchburg State University graduating in 2006. I have engaged in completing continuing education certificates in Expressive and Alternative Therapies, Sports Therapy, Art Therapy, Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Childhood, Multi-Cultural Counseling and Therapy, Middle Aged Men and Suicide, and Family Systems.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Robert is a charming man who is filled with joy and humor. He is extremely knowledgeable clinically, but also wise to the philosophical and spiritual struggles that plague the human condition. He is non-judgemental, yet unafraid to call something what it is. He is a pleasure to work with and in extremely grateful to this app for connecting me with him.

I find Robert extremely easy to talk to, and I feel that I have definitely benefited from our sessions. Even though we’ve had only several, I do consider him to be an excellent therapist, and I do feel that he has helped me.

Reviewed July 2023

Bob actively listens & is easy to talk to. His demeanor is not untimidating. He is gentle but will persist to get you to face what's bothering you. He's available through messaging and in person sessions. He has the ability to see through what I'm saying and get to the root of the problem & then confirm with me if the insight was true. It's clear Bob knows what he's doing.

Reviewed May 2023

Robert is fun, thoughtful, and open. I am able to be my full chaotic ADHD self and he rolls with it and can follow my train of thought like no other therapist I’ve had. I also highly recommend him as a member of the LGBTQ+ community- it’s hard finding therapists who get it and Bob is great!

Reviewed November 2022

Mr Moore is an incredible resource. He listens, reflects, interacts.

Reviewed September 2022

Bob came into my life at just the right time. I began with another therapist. But I soon came to understand that he was not the right fit. Since Bob and I are about the same age, we found we had some commonalities. But more than that, he listened to me and provided examples of things I could try that made sense to me without judgement. Bob is always positive. But he honestly shares with me truth and what I need to hear. He's a great guy and therapist.

I really was not up for therapy. I don't really like the idea. I'm happy I did. Robert is very down to earth but knows how to cut through to find the roots of my issues. Very insightful and helpful. He does show that he truly does care. I was highly recommend him..
