Lucy is thoughtful and understanding, but also firm and willing to confront challenging truths when that’s what I need. I like that we usually discuss “homework” so I’m able to focus on the work we do outside the time of our sessions.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Lucy shows professional care and helps to brings me around to identifying my emotions well. I can rely on her knowledge and good ideas to help my healing process.
After two decades of struggling with binge eating and not getting help that worked for me, Lucy treated the behavior as an addiction by teaching me strategies to deal with triggers and cravings. Within a few sessions, I had completely stopped binge eating and I really cannot believe how successful Lucy's therapy was for me! I can't recommend her enough. She is gentle and calm and attentive with lots of experience with a wide variety of tools to support her patients. I've spent a lot of time throughout my adult life working on various aspects of myself, and binge eating was the one thing I couldn't overcome myself. With Lucy's help, now I have!
There is something about her calm presence that makes me feel comfortable telling her things I’m often embarrassed to admit—like what triggers my anxiety. I spent an entire session crying. Talking, but mostly crying. Still, her questions and observations, based on my rambling, helped me get out of my funk state in just under an hour. After that session, I felt validated, understood, and most importantly, capable of dealing with my trauma. I’m very grateful to have been paired with Ms. Lucy.
Very pleased with Lucy’s feedback and insight. Her communication style is empathetic and non-judgmental.
I would highly recommend Lucy, she is responsive and very skilled. She listens and knows the right questions to ask and where to delve deeper.
Ms. DeMuth is a great listener and takes the time to suss out the bigger issues. She wants to understand and offer guidance for problems big and small. Every confidence is assessed with compassion and expertise.
She listens, like truly listens, I know that’s basic and the ground expectation for a therapist but it has become the catalyst for being able to undue years of hurt and change perspectives.
