Hello and congratulations on your first step to feeling better! My name is Mandy, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker in the state of Michigan with 25 plus years of diverse experience. Nine of those years was spent as an active-duty military social worker with the United States Navy including 6 months in a combat zone.
I am experienced in working with military service members, their families, and veterans. I’ve also spent 15 plus years working in hospital settings, providing counseling around adjustment to illness, and supporting those who are undergoing very arduous situations.
Other areas of focus include the challenges that come along with aging as well as the benefits of, and impact of nutrition.
I am supportive, empathetic, and passionate about helping others. I don't have a lot of experience with therapy but one thing I do appreciate is that she doesn't spend time telling me about her personal issues. Therapy is expensive and time is limited. I want to have time talking about my issues. She is very honest with me when she thinks it is something i need to hear.
I have tried online therapy before through a different company and it was all around a really bad experience. The therapist wasn’t all that great. So I started out with BetterHelp a little skeptical. But Amanda is great. She’s an amazing listener and has been able to really give some amazing feedback and really help me work through my stuff. She’s incredible. I’d recommend her to anyone I could.
