As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) based in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, I have dedicated over a decade to the practice of social work. I hold a master's degree in social work from Boston University, complemented by a bachelor's degree in social work from Cornell University. Throughout my career, I have actively engaged with individuals across various age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults, while also conducting evaluations and investigations for the Juvenile Courts.
My professional journey began by focusing on emergency services for children and providing support to families affected by abuse, neglect, and mental health challenges. Over time, my expertise expanded to encompass a wide range of areas, including parenting, trauma, depression, anxiety, adoption, and LGBTQ+ issues.
When working with clients, I adopt a person-centered approach that combines various treatment methodologies, tailored to meet the unique needs and concerns of each individual. Drawing on my training, I integrate elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) into my practice. By utilizing evidence-based techniques from these approaches, I assist clients in developing practical strategies to navigate challenges, manage emotions, and foster positive change in their lives.
Through a collaborative and empowering process, I work with my clients to develop personalized plans that align with their goals and aspirations. My aim is to provide a safe and supportive space where individuals can explore their experiences, overcome obstacles, and cultivate resilience.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

An amazing therapist! Lorri truly listens and offers invaluable insight. I always leave our sessions feeling seen, empowered, and that I understand myself better.
She’s great. I enjoy our meetings every week and if something comes up and I have to quickly reschedule, she’s super accommodating but makes sure I’m doing okay in the process.
Such a good human and wonderful at what she does, I highly recommend & it took me a few therapists to find the right one.
She’s a very good listener and gives insightful feedback about my concerns.
She’s insightful and incredibly attentive. I feel lucky to talk to her once a week and always learn more about myself through the process
She is just great
Very thankful for Lorri. Sometimes it feels like your therapist is the only person who cares about you, which is sad in a way but better than nobody...
I had a great experience working with Lorri Romesbrrg as my therapist. She listened to my concerns and was very thoughtful and patient as we explored and discussed my issues. Lorri intuitively helped me identify root causes of issues. She provided valuable resources, such as books to read and information for other support materials . Her wealth of knowledge and experience in therapy was evident throughout my time working with her, and I'm very grateful for the time and insights she shared with me. Lorri was truly an inspiration, and I highly recommend her to anyone seeking therapy services.
amazinf therapist
Lorri is compassionate but no nonsense. She is extremely observant and listens to find solutions. She holds me accountable, teaches me behavioral techniques to address certain issues and really focuses on getting to the root of a concern to identify solutions. She is diligent with checking up on me via messages during the week and really tries to work with me to provide interactive therapy that will best suit my needs. I didn’t want someone who just listened, but someone who also actively participated in dialogue with me. I couldn’t ask for a better therapist and feel I really hit the jackpot with her!!
I'm very blessed to have Lorri as my therapist. I got her almost right before I was ready to give up on a therapy all together.... Lorri is indeed a therapist who you want to stick around because she tirelessly works with you trying creative approach and giving a hope because she doesn't give up on you. She truly does care and I do treasure her as my therapist
I worked with Lorri for a little less than under one year and she was absolutely amazing! She really listened to what you had to say and and truly made me feel validated and understood. She helped to give lots of tips and strategies on how to manage stress, anxiety, and many other issues I struggled with. I’m one of those people that bounced around from therapist to therapist a lot so it definitely means something that I stayed and I wish that I could have been with her for longer! 11/10 highly recommend!
Lorri has been so empathetic and respectful. She's helped me make a full recovery from depression and anxiety and is very skilled at helping her client feel supported and connected.
I’ve had many different therapist in the past 6 years and so far I believe Lorri has been on of the best I’ve had.
Lorri is an amazing therapist, after only two sessions she seemed to understand me pretty well. She listens to me, gives me a variety of ways to interact with her and she gives me a variety of different coping mechanisms. She has a knack for getting to the root of the issue quickly and I really appreciate her calm, caring and understanding demeanor.
