I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with 18 years experience working as a psychotherapist and life coach. I work with a variety of concerns including trauma, addiction, body image and weight loss issues, relationship issues, and life purpose. I have also worked with many people recovering from mass traumas, such as school shootings.
I have presented at International conferences and written 25 continuing education courses for psychotherapists. My goal is always to identify ways the practice of psychotherapy can be improved, and find new and innovative ways clinicians can help their clients.
In my free time, I enjoy ultrarunning, bringing my three rescue horses up the levels in dressage and completing a long overdue manuscript.
I believe in empowering my clients, treating them with respect, and honoring their life choices. I believe that the keys to improved mental health and happiness exist inside every client. My approach is existential in nature, and looks to help people find what is truly most important to them, and move in that direction. Claire and I have become a well oiled-machine working together. She is fabulous at pushing my boundaries in a way that helps me to grow as an individual while also providing me deep and thought provoking questions and insight that has really helped me to progress an incredible amount in the last six months or so. This is in part possible because she really makes me feel like I can open up about anything, which helps Claire to be able to better guide me where I want and need to go. Yes, I am doing the hard work, but Claire skillfully guides me there. It is a team effort and Claire goes above and beyond to uphold her end of the therapy.

Claire gets it. I go into a session and come out knowing something about myself that I never thought of or having tools to deal with my issues that are just amazing. She is creative when it comes to trying to find ways to help you solve your issues and always gives you somethimg to think about throughout the week.
