Brittney listens to me and assigns homework that pertains to my particular situation. I’ve had therapist, biblical councilors, physiatrist, and phycologist since I was in my 20’s . Brittany sets the bar pretty high so much that I hope she will be the only and last therapist I’ll ever need.

We do not always get to choose our circumstances but we do choose our response and behavior. However, it is not always that simple, and finding your best self takes time. Life can throw some real challenges our way but with empowerment and encouragement, I want to help you identify how to choose your best responses and behavior. Happiness is a choice and it's a choice you deserve to make for yourself. As a counselor, I strive to create a safe environment free from judgment and filled with unconditional acceptance. You are the best expert on "you" even when it may not seem clear.

My goal is to see your own unique perspective and to help you identify choices that will lead you to your best self. I specialize in working with clients who struggle with low self-esteem, adjustment issues, depression, anxiety, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. My experience in public education also makes me an informed advocate for school-aged clients.

My education includes a BA in Psychology from Auburn University (2010), MSEd in School Counseling from Troy University (2016), and I am currently pursuing my EdS in Professional Counseling from Troy University. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor under NBCC and am a member of the Alabama Counseling Association. I completed the Associate Licensing process under Dr. LaTrica Henegar and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
