I help people to create the life that they want through owning their narrative and finding their voice. My philosophy is centered around teaching people how to rewrite their narrative and become the main character in their life. I believe we live our lives through stories and experiences. From the stories we've been told about ourselves to the ones we've adopted over time. I counseling approach utilizes narrative and bibliotherapy. Narrative therapy allows you to separate yourself from your problems or concerns. If all your life you were told that you were worthless or unlovable some point you may start to believe that narrative. Narrative therapy helps you re-write and take ownership of your story and your life.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

If I could recommend her a million times I would
Sonni was great. I worked with her for a little over a year during a time when many surprising difficulties all came up in my life all at once. It was very helpful to have someone outside my "real world" to talk to at a time when I could not always trust friends and family, and she helped me take seriously the importance of making decisions that would lead to a satisfying life instead of always sacrificing myself out of a sense of duty to others.
Sonni has been the most kind and understanding person. She’s helped me through so much and i would recommend her to anyone
Sonni exemplifies her name with her sunny demeanor. No matter the mood I'm in, I always look forward to my session with Sonni because she lifts my spirits. Even when I'm crying she can get me to crack a smile amd push through to do the work. She's not afraid to tell me what I need to hear, give me work to do, and still be the gentle kind voice that I lack for myself. I'm so thankful to have Sonni in my arsenal of mental health wealth.
Sonni is very understanding and accommodating.
Very down to earth and relatable!
Love her!
I wasn't immediately sure if I would get along with Sonni, but after a few weeks she really seemed to understand my very complex situation and has helped me keep focus on the bigger long term concerns rather than the day to day drama. She often asks simple questions, but in a way that turns my attention where it should be.
So I has been such a great counselor so far. She is a great listener and knows just the right questions to get deep to the source.
Sonni is so amazing! When I first signed up with BetterHelp I was nervous I'd be shuffling through therapists to find a good fit. But once they matched me with Sonni is been the best experience. She is willing to chat back and forth, providing advice and help throughout the week in between regular sessions; which for me is the biggest struggle- that in between session time. She gives me "Homework" and encourages me to keep looking further into myself. She's the best!
