James has been so helpful with me regulating my emotions during difficult times with triggering people. I have learnt better skills in listening, understanding others and developing better boundaries and just good to have an unbiased opinion to hold a mirror up to myself as well. Been very helpful , professional and empathetic and would (and have) definitely recommend him as well as betterhelp to others who are looking for therapy.

I have been taking therapy sessions with James for about 2 years now. I have found his insight and methods very helpful for me during many of my times dealing with loss, finding better coping skills alternative to ones developed from childhood as well as general life and most importantly the relationships I’m trying to be better in with partners and family and myself. He’s very empathetic as well as compassionately holds up a mirror and encourages me to be accountable as well which has helped me see things in myself I normally wouldn’t, very professional as well as a safe space. Cannot appreciate his sessions enough.
James doesn't feel like my therapist, he honestly feels like a friend I chat with once a week about how I've been doing. He challenges me on my thoughts and is never one sided on things, he sees both points when I have a difficult problem I'm working through. Which gives me a better perspective on what i am going through. I couldn't recommend him or better help enough.

I tried a couple other counselors on betterhelp before I found James (one of the good features, yes you're paying for each session, but you can switch up without a lot of drama). I liked him instantly because he jumped right into to an issue I was struggling with rather than getting my whole life story. Since that time James has proven to provide me with excellent insight and he does it in a way that you provide the answer rather than him telling you. He is a non-judgemental sounding board and responsive with empathy and caring. He is great at scheduling and communicating between classes. I feel like he truly wants to see me succeed. He has been a breathe of fresh air after several years of different counseling and I will stay with him for a while even when life settles down because I know that he can continue to help me become a better person.
